Menso Kamerlingh Onnes is a Dutch painter born in 1860 in Brussels, Belgium. Menso predominantly painted landscapes, heavily influenced by the Hague School. Lateron, Menso Kamerlingh Onnes leaned more toward the style of the impressionists and depicted the daily hustle and bustle of city life. He also painted some beautiful flower still-lifes. Menso was brother to Nobel-prize winner Heike Kamerlingh Onnes and his brother-in-law was the Dutch painter Floris Verster. Menso Kamerlingh Onnes’ work can be found in i.a. the Dordrecht museum and Musem De Lakenhal in Leiden.
