Isaac Israels, son of famous Hague School painter Jozef Israels, lived and worked in Amsterdam, Parijs, Den Haag and London. He is regared as one of the most important impressionist painters of the Netherlands.

He was exceptional at depicting the hustling and bustling city life, with loose brush strokes and subtile colour accents. Isaac Israels was also revered for his portraits and endearing beach scenes. His work can be found in nearly every Dutch museum and is regularly exhibited, both nationally and internationally.
